Adipisci nihil illum. Clibanus inflammatio volaticus. Bestia tener vulnero.

Current educational models present knowledge as additive, like other forms of value one hopes to accrue through the student machine, the career machine, the experience economy. But what kinds of knowledge might we have already? An accounting exercise to take stock of resources right here in the room.

Jesse Darling works in sculpture, installation, text, sound, drawing and digital. Their work and research is broadly centered on narratives of power, technology and subjectivity and how these are produced and maintained. JD has received commissions from MoMA Warsaw and The Serpentine Gallery among others; recent projects include solo exhibitions Support Level at Chapter NY (NYC, 2018); Armes Blanches: History is Other People at Sultana Galerie in Paris (2017) and The Great Near at Arcadia_Missa, London. JD has published texts in print and online including The Best British Poetry 2015 (Salt Press); Mass Effect: Art and the Internet in the 21st Century (MIT Press, 2015); Art After the Internet (Cornerhouse Books, 2014). JD lives and works between London and Berlin and teaches at the Sandberg Institute.
